Airline Company Now Offers Free Entertainment
American Airlines passengers are going to be able to pass the time binge watching their favorite TV show or movie. And, they can do this all for free.
Wi-Fi-enabled planes enable travelers to take advantage of the free entertainment, which includes premium channels, either by streaming it on their personal device via the American Airlines’ app or on the seatback screens.
While the Wi-Fi is free to connect to the library content, passengers will have to pay for Internet usage on their personal devices.
The option is available on all domestic flights. Previously, the airline only offered this free entertainment option on some of its domestic flights.
AA’s move took effect the first of August. According to an airline spokesperson, the kind of aircraft will dictate the entertainment that will be offered for the flight. The idea, they said, is to invest in their customers and stay competitive in the industry.
In June, Delta said it would all in-flight entertainment would be free for its passengers.
