AmeriLoan: What Happened

AmeriLoan no longer operates. It was one of the payday brands in Scott Tucker's AMG Services enterprise, shut down after a landmark FTC case and a federal criminal conviction.

What happened to AmeriLoan

AmeriLoan was operated through MNE Services, Inc., associated with the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma, as part of Scott Tucker's AMG Services payday-lending network. The FTC sued AMG in 2012; the case ended in a roughly $1.3 billion judgment. Tucker was criminally convicted in October 2017 on 14 counts and sentenced to more than 16 years in prison. The FTC and DOJ later returned a record $505 million to consumers, and the operation ceased.

Is it safe to use AmeriLoan today?

AmeriLoan is not an active lender, so any site using the name now is not the original operation. If you need a tribal installment loan, compare lenders with a verifiable tribal charter and clear, written disclosures instead.
